People who live in glass houses should`nt throw stones

A lot of folks in Sea and throughout AS are out of work because they trusted the iam. The iam abused Alaska Air policy, which led to the contracting out of the majority of ramp and baggage transfer jobs to outside contractors. All this talk of protecting our jobs is just a smokescreen.
The iam accuses Delta of witholding information, when in reality it is the iam who hides the truth.

What do you claim the the IAM is hiding. We here in the dom bagroom want to know more facts before we vote. Can we get the truth here? By the computer was a paper with this site.Thanks.

10;33 am,

Yes, you will hear the truth here. I will not fabricate facts in a attempt to influence people. I was in the iam at eastern air lines for 12 yrs and in my opinion voting in the iam would not serve us well.
The iam basically led these guys in sea to slaughter. The union was abusing the overtime policy and basically was refusing to work with the company. So finally Alaska had enough and farmed out all below wing jobs except for anchorage. Had the iam worked with instead of against the company, thousands of jobs would not have been lost.

I work in Atl and will be glad to discuss this issue with you folks at your convenience

Take care

No Way IAM!

IAM cant promise you nothing! They are a business out for themselves. They may sound good. However, ask all those people at other out stations NWA that was contracted above and below wing.
How did IAM protect their jobs?

Come on now...they are trying to make a buck! Ask anyone that worked at TWA or Atlanta's Eastern Air Line employee's..where are they today? Without a job!

Just say NO! NO WAY IAM!

...Or you could ask your nearest WN employee; they seem to be doing okay for themselves...

I have asked a TWA employee just that question. He now works at American Airlines. Thats who they merged with.

As far as Eastern.....Frank Lorenzo killed EAL. Now Delta has Anderson who worked for Lorenzo. Delta has Frank Lorenzo lawyers. Why would Delta hire Frank Lorenzo lawyers? I thought Delta had better morals than that?

Keep the comments coming....your proving the case to VOTE UNION YES!!!!!!

Dont throw stones? You should keep that comment for yourself.

No one has contracted out an airline more than Delta.

Keep the anti comments coming. Your proving to me to vote UNION YES!!!!!!!

Frank Lorenzo would`ve never entered the picture had the iam let its members vote like the other 2 unions did.
I worked for Eastern for over 12 yrs. Frank Borman proposed a 15% cut which was voted on and accepted by alpa and the twu. The iam led by the egotistical charlie bryant refused to let us vote. Thats when lorenzo entered the picture.

I used to be a loyal union man but after that and other events it changed my mind. The alaska guys trusted the iam and lost their jobs. If we ever get a chance to vote, than vote your conscience, I`ll vote mine and we will move on. Delta might not be perfect but neither is the iam.

From DeltaNet:

Alaska Air Group, parent company of Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air, reported that Alaska earned $5.3 million, or 15 cents a share....

Southwest Airlines made a profit in the first quarter, earning $11 million, or a penny per share....

HMMMMMMM, what? Unionized airlines making a profit? I believe BOTH of these airlines have the IAM!!!!!!!

All of the iam ramp agents at alaska except for a few lost their jobs because of your beloved union!

Just the Facts--

Looks like you need to get your "facts" straight... The lockout only affected the SEA point. I'm sure the rampers in ANC, and all the other stations would be surprised to know there's only " a few" of them left. Same with the CSA's stock clerks, & res.

Sir, I got my "facts" straight from a Alaska mgr. The majority of ramp work is contracted out except for anc.

You seem to be a ardent supporter of the union but in this case your union caused a whole lot of people to lose their jobs.

You might want to remind your manager friend that AS hasn't had ramp employees south of SEA for decades. You might also want to remind of all the places in Alaska they are in fact staffed. After that, ask him about all the above wing, stores and reservations personnel at AS.

I know you and Bubba have discussed this matter in another forum but you can`t deny the fact that a lot of people lost their job because of the stubborness of the iam. The generous severance package they recieved was compliments of Alaska Air not the union. I eagerly await your rebuttal.

'The iam led by the egotistical charlie bryant refused to let us vote.'

His name is Charlie Bryan, bubber.

'The generous severance package they recieved was compliments of Alaska Air not the union.'

Our 5 years back pay severance was due to the IAM union perseverance in court, with AS fighting every step of the way, with AS spending more money than the severance to fight employee's earned back pay.

Former AS who was there, "facts"

You guys are disgusting, and you won't post this, will you?
